CFPB Proposes Extensive New HMDA Rules

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published a proposed rule amending Regulation C to implement amendments to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) made by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.  The CFPB proposes adding new reporting requirements as well as clarifying existing requirements.  In addition, the CFPB proposes changes to institutional and transaction coverage under Regulation C.  Comments to the proposed rule are due by October 22, 2014.
