Fannie Mae has posted a defect categories list that shows the loan defects, by categories, identified by Fannie Mae in post-purchase reviews of its acquisitions. Categories include items, such as Assets, Borrower and Mortgage Eligibility, Credit, Liabilities, Income/Employment, Insurance and Appraisals, among other categories.
