VA Circular 26-12-7 announces that, effective with the signing into law of the Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012, a method that was used previously to derive the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) loan limits has been restored and will be in effect through December 31, 2014. Updated loan limits for loans closed on or after August 6, 2012 through December 31, 2012, have been posted here. Note that as the VA does not have a maximum loan amount, county “limits” must be used to calculate the VA’s maximum guarantee amount for that county.
