Federal Reserve Issues Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Regarding Adverse Action Notices under Regulation B

The Federal Reserve issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to amend the model notices in Regulation B to include the disclosure of credit scores and information relating to credit scores if a credit score is used in taking adverse action. These proposed amendments reflect the new content requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act that were added by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Comments must be received within 30 days after publication of the proposed rule in the Federal Register.
